Detroit, Ontario markets settle quickly, amicably

An April market that settled quickly early last week with little drama saw prime grades sideways and cut grades and shredded off $20 from March prices in the Detroit market. Ontario markets trailed Detroit slightly, with prime grades off $4 CAD a net ton, and cut grades down $25 CAD per net ton. Adjusted for currency exchange and gross tonnage, that works out to a drop of about $22 USD for cut grades.
