January ferrous scrap market a runaway train

A ferrous scrap community that found itself somewhat shell-shocked by the December settlement, which saw grades end the year up $75 to $90 per ton, depending upon grade and region, was stunned last week when markets booked further gains of $100-plus in some regions.
