Following a comprehensive review of its portfolio, the Metal Bulletin Group, the parent company of both American Metal Market and Scrap Price Bulletin, proposes a comprehensive reorganization of its North American ferrous scrap coverage. This consultation consists of a number of different steps, including combining prices and markets between American Metal Market and Scrap Price Bulletin and discontinuing illiquid grades in order to ensure price robustness and the best product for customers.

As announced in the November 20 issue, the Scrap Price Bulletin is adjusting its prices for certain grades in the Chicago market to align them more closely with the prices delivered to consumers. The table lists how much the actual market changed for each grade, and how much the change in this week’s prices is due to the adjustment by the Scrap Price Bulletin.
